Amber Marshall hails from the St. Louis, Missouri area. In 2001 she graduated with a BA in sculpture from Illinois State University. Soon after graduation she began working at a public glass studio in her home town, where she taught beginner and intermediate glass courses for 9 years. She decided to take a break from teaching and focus on developing her own work through residency at Energyxchange.
In addition to her training at Illinois State University; she has also studied at: Corning Studio, The Glass Furnace in Istanbul, Turkey, and The Pittsburgh Glass Center.
