Glass

Artist Statement

I have always been fascinated by the process of working with hot glass.  With a
history spanning five thousand years, glass as an artistic medium provides me with a
myriad of techniques and styles to incorporate into my designs.  I create a variety of
work including blown and solid sculptures, traditional vessels and paintings.  The
paintings are crafted with glass pigments which are fired into the surface of the glass.
Painting allows me to express myself beyond the confines of form and color.
As I grow as an artist my work becomes more personal and after twenty years I still
get excited every time I walk through the doors of my studio.
